Riyadh Gov. Prince Sattam inaugurated the first international conference on halal food and a related exhibition in the Saudi capital on Sunday. The program held under the aegis of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah is being organized by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA). On arrival at the Prince Faisal Conference Hall, the prince was received by SFDA Chairman Mohammed Al-Kanhal and other senior officials of his organization. Speaking on the occasion, Prince Sattam said it is fitting to note that the king had given his support to this conference, which had attracted global as well as local leaders in the halal food industry. “The conference will provide an effective platform for Islamic scholars and dieticians and others involved in the food industry to exchange their experiences and viewpoints on the production of halal food in the world,” the prince said…………..

So the best and brightest Wahhabi minds, such as they are, get together under the leadership of some prince to decide the fate of humanity. Why do they need a conference and an exhibition on "halal" food when all the food in the kingdom is "halal", if only in the religious sense. Then there is a lot of food that is bought with money that belongs to others, in this case to the people. Many of the mountains of food at royal feasts are probably not "halal" nor "kosher" no matter how many Wahhabi shaikhs and rabbis pray over them. Even the liquor, the alcoholic drinks that flow freely at the princely palaces are not "halal". I know, the money the princes steal from the public purse is also blessed by Wahhabi Salafi shaikhs, so it is supposed to be "halal".

If
these guys threaten to go nuclear, to buy the best nuclear weapons money can buy, then they ought to stop wasting their time. Forget the local "scientists". They can buy all the fatwas they need regarding what is halal or not. Now where can they buy that, a nearby place? There is a tacit ally nearby. Come to think of it, isn’t kosher the same as halal?

Cheers
