“Five men arrested in November in connection with a plot to blow up the only bridge connecting the island of Bahrain with Saudi Arabia and to assassinate Bahraini politicians are allegedly tied to Iran's Revolutionary Guard and reportedly received military training in Syria, according to information leaked to the media by authorities. The charges are the latest salvo in a regional struggle for power between Iran and the Arab Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, and come just after the U.S. revealed an alleged plot by Iran's Revolutionary Guard to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. in Washington, D.C……………”

“U.S. intelligence agencies believe that Iran is prepared to launch terrorist attacks inside the United States in response to perceived threats from America and its allies, the U.S. spy chief said Tuesday. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in prepared testimony that an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington that was uncovered last year reflects an aggressive new willingness within the upper ranks of the Islamist republic to authorize attacks against the United States. That plot “shows that some Iranian officials — probably including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei — have changed their calculus and are now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States in response to real or perceived U.S. actions that threaten the regime,” Clapper said in the testimony, which was submitted to the Senate Intelligence Committee……………”

All these references to “officials” and anonymous sources, ”allegedly” tied to the Revolutionary Guard, the evil du jour. Apparently there haven’t been any new Iranian-Hezbollah-Mexican-alQaeda-Colombian-Alcoholic Texan terror plots recently. So, why not dust up some of the older discredited plots of 2011, and add one or two claimed by the apartheid regime in Bahrain. Now who the fuck would give any credence to any plot alleged or ‘uncovered’ by the Bahrain regime? That is almost as credible as the plots uncovered by Saudi intelligence in Qatif.
Just to keep the necessary evil lurking half-way around the world, lurking in the minds of the confused and nearly brain-washed American public. A necessary prelude to a coming war of aggression? Hopefully not until after the Super Bowl.
(Now they say the Georgetown Café Milano plot goes all the way up to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The Saudi version is somewhat different: it claims the blame goes well beyond and above Khamenei. The Saudi version claims evidence that the plot originated from the long-awaited Mahdi. The Saudi version claims that Al-Mahdi thought the best way to prepare for his rise and return to our world would be by blowing up a small yes-man of the Saudi princes in an overpriced restaurant.
(Did I tell you that I think these plots are getting ridiculous? I think I shall tweet Ali Khamenei at @khamenei_ir telling him so, so he will desist).
