Two Most Idiotic Quotes of the Year 2011 (Outside the US Congress)……….

There are always idiotic remarks by leaders and politicians and other public figures. Every year has its fair share of them. 2011 had more than its fair share of them, especially it being a year of election campaigns and revolutions. Two quotes truly reflected a state of mind that is prevalent among those the quotes represent. They struck me as the most stupid of all for the year (and no, Ahmadinejad did not utter one of them, nor did any U.S. congressman or senator):

Pandering corrupt Tony Blair
about the Egyptian uprising:

But Mr Blair insisted the process must be "managed" to avoid it having a negative effect on ongoing efforts to resolve the longstanding dispute between Israelis and Palestinians. He said: "What is inevitable is that there's going to be change and the question is; what change and how do you manage it?......”
He wanted to manage the uprising. They ought to have sent the schmuck to Tahrir in those wild February days. All I can say about Tony Blair: what an idiot! And to think that our potentates hire him as an adviser: they must be even more idiotic than he is.

Clueless Saudi King Abdullah describing the people of Egypt last February:

No Arab and Muslim human being can bear that some infiltrators, in the name of freedom of expression, have infiltrated into the brotherly people of Egypt, to destabilize its security and stability and they have been exploited to spew out their hatred in destruction, intimidation, burning, looting and inciting a malicious sedition….
Could it be the old age of the doddering absolute tribal king or just too much Viagra (as Wikileaks claims)? Possibly both, mixed with a dose of fear.
Cheers
