Perhaps more amazed than I am that some Arab ministers, potentates who weeks ago were shooting at protesters, are now saluting them. Some of the attendees were/are ministers for regimes that have killed their own unarmed people over the past few weeks. Some are in governments that will kill more of these young people. Some of those who stood in ‘mourning’ for the young who were murdered in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, and other places, were only recently urging the regimes to, in fact, kill more in order to stifle the rebellions. Some of them are probably still doing that now behind the scenes. That is Arab chutzpah.
