The British establishment still have not adjusted to a ‘dark’ American president diplomatically pushing them around, poodling their prime minister the way Bush did Blair. It is the old European “colonialist” racism.

It took another ‘dark’ American, of Hindu South Asian heritage with a "funny" name and a pudgy Southern opportunist (I won’t say adulterer: glass houses and all that- besides, a person's 'intimate' life should be his own business, just like his religion, no?) in eternal political limbo to polish that old British prejudice and try to ‘redneck’ it. Turning his multi-cultural and international experience into a liability. In the process of demonizing anti-colonialism for the benefit of their confused TV-struck base, they also demonized Gandhi, Jefferson, Washington, Henry, and others.
(Whenever I see Gingrich, I still can't help imagining a banquet table, and the proverbial large apple stuck in the mouth......)
