“Iran has successfully tested the domestically-upgraded C-130 aircraft, another bid to bolster its military capabilities despite UN sanctions against the country. The test flight was carried out at the presence of Iranian Defense Ministry Ahmad Vahidi on Sunday, the fifth day of Sacred Defense Week. Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said that the aircraft should have been upgraded earlier but international sanctions caused the delay. No doubt the ruling mullahs mouths water as they read news reports of the huge deals between the Gulf Arab states and the West for state of the art weapons systems. While they have to cannibalize the old Shah’s imports to make new military jalopies that have never been tested in battle. I am no expert in weapons systems, not yet, but I suspect that these clones they produce in Iran are absolutely no match for the all real stuff being shipped, with the ease of books from Amazon, to the Gulf Arab states. I can imagine a U.S manufacturer’s enticing website offer: “Order within the next 3 hours and get it by tomorrow, September 27”.
