Big Apple: Ahmadinejad Walks a Fine Line, Punts on Holocaust…….
Walking on water

“Later on, the Iranian president again referred to his controversial remarks regarding the Holocaust, asking "why don't we allow this subject to be examined further... It is incorrect to force only one view on the rest of the world." "We need to ask, where did this event occur, and why should the Palestinian people continue to suffer for it? I am not an anti-Semite. I am anti-Zionism." "How come when it comes to the subject of the Holocaust there is so much sensitivity?" the Atlantic Monthly quoted Ahmadinejad as saying. Earlier Tuesday, Ahmadinejad told a United Nations General Assembly session on poverty that capitalism was on the verge of extinction and that it was time for a new economic system…….”
The Israelis are not impressed with his disclaimer. Jews around the world are as skeptic as ever, as are most people in the West. Hell, even I am getting rather exasperated by his repeated retort of “where did this event occur?” They ought to gift him with a tour of certain European locations, starting with a couple of old camps in Poland. His retort about the Palestinians? Nobody has been able to answer it satisfactorily.
One thing about him: he is always cool as a Persian cucumber, never flustered, never lacking an answer of some sort (not necessarily the relevant answer, but what politicians give relevant answers?). Most other Middle East leaders, one-on-one with the media and facing similar questions, would turn to stutterers or blubbering fools. Of course there are as many fools who are not stuttering or blubbering at all: we all saw what happened with the financial and economic crisis. Besides, ever seen those Tea Party leaders on television? They seem cooler than even Ahmadinejad.
Cheers
