Iraqi Political Gobbledigook, American Mudslinging, the Tea Party and the “Hell No” Party………….

Iraqi discussions on formation of their next government continue. American mudslinging over the formation of their next government continues:
“Member of the Iraqi National Alliance Wail Abdul Lateef assured that “The discussions between the INA and the Iraqiya Slate have failed due to failure of reaching a settlement over the Premier post’s issue.” He stated to the National Iraqi News Agency “The main hurdle lies in the PM post since the leader of the State of Law’s Coalition Nouri al-Maliki adheres to this post, while the leader of the IS Ayad Allawi adheres to this post, too and the INA wants to get this post which cause failure to all discussions.”………” NINA
“The leader within the State of Law’s Coalition Adnan al-Shahmani revealed that “The Iraqi National Alliance agreed to present a single candidate to compete with SLC’s candidate Nouri al-Maliki to choose one of them as a candidate for the National Coalition….. The entities within the INA also agreed to resume discussions with the SLC and to adhere to the NC which has the right to form the government as the largest bloc.”……..” NINA
“Member of the Iraqi National Alliance Mohammed Mahdi al-Bayati of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council assured that his alliance did not discuss with the Iraqiya Slate disputed issues yet. Speaking to the National Iraqi News Agency, he said “Meetings and discussions between the INA and IS still discuss regular issues, but the disputed issues related to the Premier post have not been discussed yet.”…..” NINA
“The Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi discussed with the former Speaker, Ayad al-Samarayi, the efforts exerted to form the next government. A statement by Hashimi’s office cited “Hashimi received Samarayi as well as the accompanied delegation and reviewed the efforts of forming the upcoming government.”……” NINA
Hashimi and Al-Samarayi are in the same bloc (Allawi’s Aliraqiya). This is like al-Hashimi talking to himself, which he apparently does often.
“The President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani received the new US Ambassador to Iraq James Jeffery in Salah-il-Din resort in Erbil…… “Both sides discussed the issue of forming new Iraqi government as well as discussing the general situation in Iraq now and after the US troop’s withdrawal from Iraq,” the source added……..” NINA
It is a good thing that “both sides” discussed this issue. Wouldn’t have done any good for only “one side”, especially the American side, to “discuss it with itself. Usually strange elderly people discuss issues with themselves.
“The political bureaus of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) headed by Jalal Talabani and the Kurdistani Democratic Party (KDP) headed by Masoud Barzani held a meeting in Erbil province to discuss government formation process…….” NINA
“The American Tea Party, formerly known as the Republican Party, older elements of which are strongly suspected to have once wore white sheets outdoors, some of whom still wear them figuratively, some of whom have recently taken to wearing brown shirts publicly but figuratively, has declined to discuss the formation, or lack thereof, of a new Iraqi government. They are focused on forming their own government around their own succinct platform of “HELL, NO”, a platform that has the virtue of being easy for everyone, even their own base, to understand……”
