Alquds Alarabi reports that the early withdrawal of U.S forces from Iraq may be in preparation for a new war. It suggests that the target can be Lebanon first, to be followed with Iran, or perhaps both simultaneously. The report notes that American policy-makers realize that an attack on Lebanon or Iran will create serious problems for their troops in Iraq where it says Iranian influence is at its peak.
The report ties the recent sale of advanced patriot missiles, and the announcement of resumption of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, with a one-year limit, to plans for Iran. It notes that one year is seen as sufficient to destroy Iran and crush Lebanon.
