Iraq: Adel Abdul-Who?..........
;

“With a political stalemate in Iraq, politicians are looking to alternate candidates for prime minister to break the deadlock. One of the top contenders is Adel Abdul Mahdi, a longtime member of the Islamic Supreme Council in Iraq (ISCI) who’s currently serving as vice president. Mahdi, a French-educated economist, has seen his share of hardship since returning to Iraq in 2003: his brother was assassinated in 2004, and Mahdi himself was nearly killed by a bomb attack in 2007. Still, he says he’s optimistic about the country’s future……..”
