Saint Rafiq Hariri? Israeli Channel Claims to “Identify” Assassination Suspect………….

“Mustafa Badr Aldin, the brother in-law of assassinated Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh, is the prime suspect in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in 2005, Channel 1 reported Thursday. According to the report, Aldin, also known as "Elias Sa'ab", commanded the failed attempt to assassinate Kuwait's ruler in 1985. Aldin was mentioned as a candidate to replace Mughniyeh as Hezbollah's chief operations officer. A few days ago Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah berated the UN tribunal probing the Hariri murder amid reports that it would indict members of the Shiite group…….” Ynet
“Impartial” reporting or genuine disinformation from the Israeli channel? The latter is the most likely, given the source.
IF the report were accurate (a big IF): he certainly has the “technical” expertise. Yet I can’t forget how the media of the moderate Arab oligarchy (as opposed to the radical Arab oligarchy) spent months, nay years, pointing the finger at Syrian security and intelligence agents in Lebanon for the Hariri killing. Some even pointed at Bashar al-Assad and those very close to him as suspects. Some even noted that maybe Hezbollah agents participated in it on behalf of the Syrians. Unless the Syrians did some plea bargaining deal recently and got off with lesser charges (something Nasrallah may have hinted at last week). Speculation is that Hezbollah is also in on the deal, with a few rogue elements of the Party being accused, but all that may have been premature.
