You know, had Mausavi been declared winner of the Iran presidential elections last year, what would we be doing? Could someone as gray as him come up with these daily verbal gems as Ahmadunead? I, for one, although I have serious doubts about his values, am glad we have him as an entertaining leader. He is also a very serious and clever leader, don’t get me wrong, but he has entertaining value. Now Libya’s Qadhafi is almost entirely pure entertainment now, not much substance anymore. Kim Jong-Il is entertaining by just ‘being there’, as Woody Allen would say. Unfortunately Kim is entertaining by being his weird murderous self.
As for most other Middle East leaders: they are serious leaders, but only in the sense of not being funny.
