Did the Mossad Chief Really Kiss Noses and do the Umrah? Why I Doubt It...............

“Mossad chief Meir Dagan visited Saudi Arabia recently, if unofficial reports published over the weekend on the WorldNetDaily website are accurate. The Internet news site attributed the story to Arab sources. According to the reports, the talks conducted in Saudi Arabia with the head of Israel's espionage agency dealt with Iran and its nuclear program. The account follows a series of recent reports on increasing secret cooperation between Israel and the Saudis, including defense coordination on matters related to possible military action against Iran's nuclear facilities…….. Arab and Iranian media outlets have also reported Israeli air force planes and helicopters landing in Saudi Arabia for the purposes of positioning equipment there……..” Haaretz (Israel)
Somehow I strongly doubt this visit story. Not because it is so implausible: I have no doubt that they’ve met outside Saudi Arabia, even outside Israel. They may even have ‘kissed noses’, as we say in the Gulf. But such a visit is unlikely now, because it is not necessary. The rulers have done a good job preparing their complacent people, the Wahhabi majority of their people, for a war in which they may ‘seem’ to cooperate with their Israeli brothers against the rival theocracy of the Shi’a enemy across the Persian Gulf. Just as they prepared their complacent people for the Israeli assault on the Shi’a half of Lebanon in 2006 and the siege of Gaza. Their media, including a couple of satellite Gulf dailies, are banging the drums of war again. The Likud government, for its part, has agreed to lift its veto on the sale of new U. S. warplanes to the kingdom. In addition, and to show that the Likud also has a heart and that it is not all just business, it has also suggested changing the ancient name of the Persian Gulf to the ‘Royal Saudi Gulf’.
