Inexorably Heading Toward an Inexorable Iran War? the Compelling Logic of Inexorableness (or is it Inexorability?) of War...........

“The Associated Press: A former CIA director says military action against Iran now seems more likely because no matter what the U.S. does diplomatically, Tehran keeps pushing ahead with its suspected nuclear program. Michael Hayden, a CIA chief under President George W. Bush, says that during his tenure a strike was "way down the list" of options. But he tells CNN's "State of the Union" that such action now "seems inexorable." He predicts Iran will build its program to the point where it's just below having an actual weapon. Hayden says that would be as destabilizing to the region as the real thing…..”
Okay, it looks like somebody wants this inexorable march toward another inexorable war of choice. And apparently not just the hardcore idiots in the Congress who want to sign a resolution for an Israeli attack, nor just the AIPAC-beholden rest of them. Once a war is described as 'inexorable', there usually is no stopping it, especially a war in the Middle East. It becomes a compelling light, a fire that pulls policy-makers into its circle. The fire may not burn the policy-makers, after all Bush was comfortably re-elected, but the fire burns many others, many innocent people. Just as it did in Iraq. A lesson for Obama as he marches toward his next campaign.
