The Iraqi political process is still going strong, I thought I'd let you know:

  • al-Issawi discusses with a delegation of Sadrists the results of the Allwi-al-Sadt meeting…….
  • Abdel-Mahdi meeting the Iranian ambassador and noting that Ira qhas built developed relations with its neighbors (enot all: there is no Saudi ambassador yet)……
  • Nobody meets with the Saudi ambassador because there is no Saudi ambassador in Iraq....
  • Barzani discusses over the telephone with al-Sadr and Allawi means of speeding up the political process….
  • Al-Aani: we have no choice but to “internationalize” the Iraqi issue, given the deliberate delay in forming a government…
  • Hamam Hamoudi and Ahmad al-Chalabi discuss means for ending the political crisis in the country…..
  • Ahmad al-Chabai and Tareq al-Hashimi discuss ways to ease the formation of a government……
  • Al-Hakeem, smiling as usual, ,meets Allawi to discuss government formation………
  • Allawi texts the Pope (the one in Rome) asking for divine intervention to speed the political process. He also sends a picture of himself schmoozing with Salih al-Mutlak.……….
Cheers
