Israel and Hezbollah: how Tension with my Enemy is my Friend……….…….

“Hezbollah says the recent provocations by Israel and UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon are part of an "international move" against the resistance movement. Resistance sources said on Saturday there was a connection between Tel Aviv's release of pictures, allegedly showing resistance's preparation for armed conflict in the southern Lebanon, and French forces' incitement of clashes with the locals there…....”
There have been reports in Arab, Iranian, and Israeli media of increasing tensions along the Israeli-Lebanese border. The Lebanese side (Hezbollah side) sees it as part of a Western conspiracy to find a casus belli to start another war, have another go at disarming its militia (something the rightist March 14 warlords would love to see but are too shy to ask for). The repeated raising of various missile issues by the West, and the Hezbollah charges against the French contingent of UNIFIL are seen as such (needless to say that they are not trusted by the Shi'as and their allies).
Tensions along the Lebanese border these days serve the purposes of both the Israeli government and Hezbollah. They can be used by one side as an excuse for a possible new military attack and as another excuse to delay ant deal with the Palestinian; they can be used by the other side for continued build-up of missile capability with the aim of deterring such potential Israeli attack.
