World Cup withdrawal symptoms beginning with me. No games today or tomorrow. One measly game on Saturday, then the final on Sunday. After that: nothing for almost four years. Okay not four years: nothing but mediocre MLS games and never exciting baseball games. I may need to check into rehab. Or at the least download or purchase the games: something to hold me until the NFL and college sports season start in September.
My fatwa for Saturday is that Uruguay will beat Germany. My fatwa for Sunday is that Spain will beat the Netherlands. Viva Espana.
About my earlier fatwas: shocked that Argentina and Brazil screwed up their last games and had to get out.
BTW: with the World Cup still undecided, who outside Cleveland and New York gives a fuck about Le Bron James and where he ends up?
