Dynasties: Is Africa Going Arab? Is it just the Qadhafi Effect?.............

“Senegal falls to the corrupt and dynastic Senegal seemed to be a good, though not model, functioning African democracy. Now its authoritarian president wants to put his son on the ‘throne’, and the family and its supporters are at the heart of corruption scandals. If the headlines in the African press are anything to go by, the son of Senegalese president………..” Le Monde Diplomatique
Now the Africans are acting like Arab dictators and potentates. Inherited countries and family corruption. Some African despots seem to have picked the nasty tribal habit of appointing one’s son to rule a country, a people inherited like a herd of sheep. I wonder if the Libyan dictator talked them into it, given his recent focus on African affairs (Mubarak, king of Egypt once addressed Qadhafi as the King of Kings of Africa).
