“A child activist told ILNA "the official sources indicates 900 to 950 thousand married children in the county is in contrary to international convention of child rights" Mohammad Bonyadzadeh noted unofficial statistics show other realities regarding the issue. He added "on one hand law recognized under 11 as children with no power to chose or think and rules down their ability to vote in election but on the other hand the age of marriage in the country is defined between 9 to 13."
