In Praise of Kim Jong-Il and Egyptian Stability, a Pig with Lipstick………….

“Egypt’s Western allies see in the Egyptian regime a voice for moderation, and her neighbors fear the spread of democracy….. Leaders of the Middle East, a region that lacks transparency and rarely allows opposition, they would prefer if Mubarak would continue for another term or at least handpicks his successor….. Hani Sabra an analyst with the Eurasia Group in New York says that “regional states look ar Egypt tand they say, well Munarak has achieved stability….. This is what they want, continuity.”……..”
Except it is not stability, it is stagnation bed by dictatorship, fear, and corruption. It is stability of the type Kim Jong-Il has established in North Korea: so let’s praise Kim Jong-Il (who also is preparing one of his sons to inherit the country and its people as so much chattel).
Ever hear of the delicious French spread cheese they call 'La Vache Qui Rit'? It is delicious with honey and hot pita (Arabic) bread or with Iranian bread. In case you didn't know: it means the 'Laughing Cow', and I suspect that by now one can go to jail for eating it in Egypt.
Cheers
