"A few minutes ago the State of Israel launched the Ofek-9 (Horizon-9) satellite from the Palmachim base," the ministry said. "The results of the launch are being examined by the technical team."……”

So now Israel and Iran will both have home-made satellites and they can spy on each other to their heart’s content. Some Gulf states are also threatening to get their own satellites (and operators of course), the best that money can buy. Before you know it, every King, potentate, and strongman in the Middle East will be able to see what every other one is doing in the comfort of his private hot tub. Should be fun, but I doubt it: most of these guys don't look good even fully clothed.
