If you feel that you have taken money that you should not have taken, and you want to return it without any questions being asked, we can help you.”
Alarabiya site reports on an ”clearing the conscience” bank account that has been around for five years and has accumulated more than Rials 177 million. Apparently a Saudi government clerk had gotten some money that did not belong to him and he knew it would be difficult to simply return the money because of the government budgetary mechanism. The man asked the royal court for permission to open such an account where anybody who had ill-gotten money can deposit it, no questions asked……

Great idea: it can be applied to some Wall Street executives, including NYSE officials. Let’s us see how many will return any money. Of course I’d be happy to open an account in my name to receive all the returned money.
Yet I wonder if Prince whatishisname will secretly deposit a few hundred million of the billions he got as bribes commission for huge arms purchases. And will all the potentates of the Gulf region and their retainers, those who received fat bribes commissions for arms and other deals, seek to establish similar accounts to receive that ill-gotten money? At least some of it? Some of them end up financing the building of huge mosques and synagogues in their later years, just before they have to pass on to the other side. But they still keep most if not all of the money, passing on or not.

Cheers
