Netanyahu Opines on Radical Islam, of Uganda and the West and “Reactionary” Arabs….…..
“JERUSALEM - The nations of the world must unite to stop the Iranian nuclear program, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said at a conference of Russian-speaking journalists on Sunday. Netanyahu spoke at the 12th world conference of Russian-speaking press, held at Dan Panorama hotel in Tel Aviv. He said the world must recognize the danger that a nuclear Iran poses to all nations, and act to prevent it. “Most of world terrorism originates in radical Islam,” ……….”
He may be right for a certain region and during a certain time, but not always. His own brother was not killed by radical Islam: he was killed by Palestinians and Germans in Uganda. They were all secularists at the time. Radical Islam was a fringe element at the time, encouraged and nurtured by Western powers and Saudi Arabia, and other reactionary Arab despots, with the aim of offsetting pesky leftist opponents who were calling for reform. They succeeded in destroying the Middle East’s secularists and the left, but it has clearly backfired, as far as the West is concerned, and as far as some of the Arab regimes are concerned. Still, not a bad deal for Arab despots, when the main call for reform nowadays is about a"allowing women to drive". All they have to do is allow women to drive and the West will be all gushing about how the absolute monarchists are "reforming".
