Israeli Bombs, African Apartheid Bombs………………
“Secret South African documents reveal that Israel offered to sell nuclear warheads to the apartheid regime, providing the first official documentary evidence of the state's possession of nuclear weapons. The "top secret" minutes of meetings between senior officials from the two countries in 1975 show that South Africa's defence minister, PW Botha, asked for the warheads and Shimon Peres, then Israel's defence minister and now its president, responded by offering them "in three sizes". The two men also signed a broad-ranging agreement governing military ties between the two countries that included a clause declaring that "the very existence of this agreement" was to remain secret………” The Guardian
Okay, the Israelis were playing the North Korea of their time. I guess they did not expect that a day will come when the schwartzes will take over and spill the beans. Besides, any idiot knows by now that the Israelis have the bomb, that they are not doing a Saddam-style bluff.
South Africa later gave up its nuclear program, probably after realizing that you can’t drop “the bomb” on rebellious black townships without getting some ‘decent folks’ across the track along the way. Sort of like the Israelis dropping the bomb on, say, Ramallah, without getting any of their own citizens with the fallout. Besides, maybe the South Africans also realized that they could not stop world communism single-handed.
