Iran’s Stalinesque News Reports, Creative Artists under Watchful Eyes………….

I toured the official Iranian Fars News Agency. Interesting dry batch of news items, with the usual quasi-Stalin-esque language of state news agencies. This is the case in all official Middle East news agencies (including the Arab states and North Korea). The headlines du jour were:
- “Judiciary Chief Calls 'Tehran Declaration' Touchstone for West's Intention “
- “Iran, Turkey Discuss Implementation of 'Tehran Declaration'“
- “Jordan Underlines Iran's Right to Use Peaceful N. Technology“
- “Iranian DM Blasts US "Unwise" Reaction to Tehran Declaration“. No idea wtf DM is.
- “Iran Adopts 'Wait and See' Policy on N. Fuel Swap“
- “Germany to Send Senior MP to Iran Next Month“
- “Official: Iran, Turkey to Increase Economic Exchanges “
- “Iran Planning More Satellite Launch”
- “Iran's "The Hunter" Wins Slovakia's Int'l Environment Film Festival”
- “Deputy FM: Iran Ready to Help Resolve Crises in Caucasus”
- “Iran's "The Hunter" Wins Slovakia's Int'l Environment Film Festival. TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian director Jafar Noor-Mohammadi won the top award at the 16th International Environmental Film Festival in Slovakia for his movie, "the Hunter"…..” This last one was the only exciting news: Many Iranian films win awards, showing that even under a fundamentalist system, a good artist can be creative enough to be……. creative (?).
