“Obama, Bibi to Meet Next Week. First Joe Biden, then Hillary. Now President Obama himself will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, Fox News says. Netanyahu will be in the U.S. for a meeting with AIPAC, the main pro-Israel lobby, and since Obama has postponed his trip to Asia until June, he will be free to meet with the prime minister. Tensions between the United States and Israel have been raised ever since Israel announced plans to expand settlements in the West Bank while Biden was visiting the country……”

Obama has no chance: Netanyahu has the upper hand.
Bibi has the Israeli public (most of it) behind his hardline extreme right-wing policies. He also has a huge constituency in the USA, including the Republican Part and its various sub-sects, not to mention many Democrats, and Fox News. Obama’s only constituency in Israel is the US ambassador (maybe) and his staff (maybe). In the US he has Rahm Emanuel and David Axlerod on his side, but Netanyahu has pre-epmted their influence by calling them “Self-hating Jews”. That is how it stands between Obama, the most popular leader around the world and Netanyahu, one of the least (if not the least) popular leaders around the world.
