Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz, prince of the Riyadh Region, renewed his assertion that the call of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Abdulwahab was a pure Salafi call. He said there is no such thing as a “Wahhabi call”. He challenged anyone to come up with a single “letter” in any of his writings and books that contradicts the Book of God and the Sunna of the Prophet. The prince said the enemies of Islam gave the his call this name……… Wahhabism is a name some people call the mission of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Abdulwahab Bin Suleiman al-Tamimi al-Hanbali who warned against polytheism like clinging to the dead, trees, stones, and other such things…….”

Duly read and noted. Shaikh Mohammad Bin Abdulwahad should not be confused with Mohammed Abdelwahab, the late great Egyptian musician, composer, and singer. He, the latter, was neither Wahhabi, Salafi, Methodist, Episcopalian, Hasidic, or any such fundamentalist thing. Hell, he was not even a Republican.
FYI: they did have their own version of the hesder yeshiva in Nejd in the old days. I am talking about the Wahhabis.
Cheers
