“Former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, trying to regain his job, called for an investigation of Iraq's election because of confusion at some polling centers. Preliminary resuts of the Sunday voting are expected Wednesday. "There was major confusion inside and outside Iraq in the voting centers and that leaves a question mark over the (Independent High Electoral Commission's) role," Allawi said in a report in Britain's Daily Telegraph. Allawi, who challenged incumbent Nouri al-Maliki, asked for an investigation of the IHEC, saying he had warned before the balloting against inaccuracies and lack of objectivity by the commission, al-Sumaria reported Monday. United Nations envoy Ad Melkert said the elections were well-organized and orderly, the Daily Telegraph reported……..”

When the dust settles, Allawi and his former and current Baathist (come to think of it, they are all former Baathists, including him) allies will be the only ones complaining about fraud. But you know something? He is not exactly a Mir-Hussein Mousavi, is he?
My next to last fatwa that he will not become prime minister (not of Iraq) still stands.
Cheers
