Arabian Nobel Prize for Waterboarding…….

“RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah will hold talks with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who will arrive here on Monday to hold consultations and to receive the King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam, which is popularly known as the “Arab Nobel Prize.” Erdogan will also inaugurate an exhibition on Jerusalem that is being organized by the Riyadh-based King Faisal Foundation on the sidelines of the award ceremony here Tuesday night………”

“The Arab Nobel Prize”? I think only the Saudi media and their satellite outlets in the Persian-American Gulf call it that. I might nominate myself for the next King Faisal award. I may nominate myself for a few others: there probably are several other kingly prizes around over there. Why not: I bet Hosni Mubarak got at least one of those, and I have not done nearly as much damage. Didn’t Dick Cheney get one? I thought I saw a photo of the waterboard champ beaming as the old king finished kissing him and put one of those shiny green ropes around his neck.
