Worried About Elections in Iraq and Lebanon and Iran, Getting a Political Life...........

“The Iraqi election campaign is moving fast with much campaigning n the satellite channels. Some of these networks are considered under the control of ‘regional powers’. Some of these campaigns try to erase the Arab face of Iraq and to expel the parties with the correct Islamic inclination from the election options available to the Iraqi voters. They also try to distort the image of neighboring Arab countries………..” Okaz (Saudi)
They are really concerned about the fate of Iraqi democracy, these writers and academics of the oligarchies that surround Iraq. But how would they know about elections and voting? They who have never been given the chance to vote for anything in their life (except perhaps maybe possibly for a wife)? Not a representative, not a class president at school, not a dog-catcher, not even a town goat-herder.
They really want the Iraqi elections to go right. Just as they were upset about the funny goings during and after the Iranian elections, just as they were really concerned about the Lebanese elections last year (worried to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars).
My advice is: get some elections of you own, and get a life, a political life.
Cheers
