Iraq Elections: Of Iranian Stooges, Neighboring Oligarchs, Missing Chemical Ali………..

If the Iraqi National Alliance emerges as the largest bloc in the 325-seat parliament — and if the Sadrists win more seats than SIIC — that would likely place the fiery cleric in a strong position to pick the next prime minister. SIIC officials are quietly acknowledging that the Sadrists are likely to emerge as the biggest winner in the bloc, thus robbing their own party of the chance to secure the prime minister's job. They say Iran, which wields a great deal of influence within Iraq's Shiite establishment, is throwing its weight behind the Sadrists in the hope that they would do its bidding in a new government…..……”

Okay:
  • The controlled Arab media of Iraq’s neighboring absolute tribal monarchs and life-long dictators have been telling me for months, nay years, that SIIC are stooges of Iran.
  • That was before and after they spent some quality time telling me that the Sadrists are the real stooges of Iran and the al-Quds brigade.
  • That was before, during, and after they spent a few years trying to convince me that in fact, Nuri al-Maliki and his cabinet are the true stooges of Iran.
  • All that came after they screamed in my ears (both ears in 2005) that Ibrahim al-Jaafari was an Iranian creation and that he had to go. I am completely confused now.
  • Come to think of it, American and other Western media have been telling me pretty much the same thing over the years. They are not even controlled by Arab oligarchs.
I am beginning to suspect that they really want Iyad Allawi back, whom the love, for now, as their second best choice. Their first love, their true choice would be someone who is not chosen by a majority of Iraqis, does not believe that he should run (or stand, if you are so inclined) for office, and preferably is of the correct…….. denomination.
They should have cloned Saddam Hussein when they had the chance or, barring that, they should have staged an operation to rescue Chemical Ali last year.
Cheers
