Cheap shot by a media outlet owned and run by a retainer of the oligarchy. A Saudi media site Elaph tries to again to bring down Aljazeera, the best Arab television news station. It is an attempt by a media outlet that relies on sensational stories and on fanning sectarian flames in the Arab world, especially in the Persian-American Gulf. It is the most popular and reliable station in the Middle East, even though George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Condo Rice, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, etc. all preferred the Saudi Alarabiya to give the interviews. That only gave them access to mostly an audience of my fellow Gulfies, who don’t seem to make a hill of beans difference in the wider Arab and Middle East public opinion.
