“Mohamed Elbradei was not received as the supposed saviors, only a thousand or so people met him at the airport…….. There was little interest in him……” Thus crowed Saudi Alarabia TV website, excitedly.

Of course the Emergency Rule, in effect for about 30 years in Egypt, bans large gatherings unless they are authorized by the regime and unless they are to sing the praises of Mubarak and his sons. The same goes for other Arab oligarchies. Saudi Arabia, for example, has been under a state of emergency since its creation some 75 years ago. It is under such an emergency rule that there is no constitution; that will come after the emergency rule is lifted. Which will probably follow after hell freezes over or pigs fly, whichever comes first.
