Afrabia: Pulling the Plug on Mugabe………….

“HARARE (Reuters) - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe celebrated his 86th birthday on Sunday, still in office three decades after independence, with analysts suggesting he may cling to power for the rest of his life despite dividing the country during his long rule. His ZANU-PF party will hold a rally in the city of Bulawayo next Saturday but Mugabe himself will celebrate quietly on Sunday with his family. Hailed as a savior by fanatical supporters and praised throughout Africa for standing up to what many see as bullying by the West, Mugabe is hated in equal measure by opponents who accuse him of being a dictator who is intolerant of opposition…………”
Perhaps it is time to pull the plug, on Mugabe and a few others I can mention, but won’t.
There is nothing worse than a leader who clings to power decade after decade. There is absolutely no excuse, on the right and the left and in-between. If Mugabe were an Arab leader I would start looking at his son, or sons, because these are the ones who will take over. Africans, south of the Sahara, haven’t started this hereditary trend yet.
Cheers
