Middle East Human Rights, Ya Right………

“The United Arab Emirates is participating in the 4th meeting of the team of the Arab governmental experts tasked with executing a plan for human rights education. The said plan was approved by the Arab Summit. The team is led by Dr Saud Hilal Al-Harbi, head of curricula development at the Kuwaiti Education Minister. The UAE is represented to the meeting by Mubarak Mohammed Al-Hammadi, of the Human Rights Department at the Foreign Ministry and Dr Mohammed Ali Al-Qassimi, an expert on curricula development at the Ministry of Education. Al Harbi said the 2-day meeting will be discussing phase1 of the plan which continues up to 2014 as well as examining Arab countries' commitment to the execution of the plan. He noted that Arab countries already have human rights education through the religious, cultural and social value systems…………”

Okay, the Arab summit has approved a plan for teaching human rights (but what kind of human rights)? Now they need a plan for all these governments to apply respect for human rights in their dealings with their peoples- forall the people.
