Captive Women of Arabia: the Sky Rains Gold but Only for Potentates………..
“Official data indicate that there are 150 thousand divorcees and abandoned wives in Saudi Arabia who depend on state aid for support, in order to feed themsleves. A Saudi woman needs permission from a male guardian in order to travel, study, marry, or get health care. The only country in the world that has such a system. Now the minister of social affairs has repeated what his colleague the minister of labor has said to these needy women that “the sky does not rain gold” and that they have to earn their living with their sweat………….”
This minister wants the women to work to earn their living, with their sweat, but the women are not allowed in most jobs, except teaching girls. They can’t get these jobs without a male idiot’s permission, can’t get documents or training without a male idiot’s permission. So they are stuck, that may explain why the divorce rate in Saudi Arabia, although shockingly high, is not even higher: women are afraid because they have no way out. They are in prison.
As for the statement that “the sky does not rain gold”. The sky does indeed rain gold, a lot of gold, all over our Gulf, but only for the royal princes, the potentates, and their retainers. Not for most of the people who, unlike the royals and their retainers, do sweat.
