Internet monitoring policy started by Cabinet decree in 2001 which prohibited any content it defined as opposed to the policies of the state, the ruling regime, heads of state, threatens foreign relations, social peace or stirs up sedition among citizens . A few years ago Internet content was monitored by the Internet Services Unit of the King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology before being passed on to the Communications and Information Technology Authority.Sites are blocked according to the following guidelines:………..” Openarab.net
