Ahmadinejad Opines on Climate Change, Pitches for Nuclear Power………..

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has left Tehran for the Danish capital to participate in an international conference on climate change………….. On Wednesday, in an interview with Danish media, the Iranian president held the fossil energy-guzzling countries responsible for a major portion of the pollution. He called on those countries to abide by international laws and act responsibly towards global health. Ahmadinejad added nuclear energy could be a cleaner replacement for fossil fuels………… As of now the Kyoto Protocol is the only binding treaty on climate change, even though it obliges neither the United States nor China - nor, for that matter, any developing nation - to curb greenhouse pollution…..….”

Notice how he didn’t say “Drill baby drill; drill right here, drill now…” even though that is more likely to apply to wherever he is than McCain’s exhortation did to Minneapolis or Palin’s did to Cleveland. He must worry about the environment in his country more than, say, Sarah Palin does about Wasilla, Alaska or about Russia next door.
I can’t wait to hear his speech at Copenhagen; I hope it is better than his last one at the UN. I especially look forward to his interesting “forecasts” about the environment and about “this” world of ours overall, and how he foresees the end of time in these contexts. I want to compare them to the ideas of some sects(or is it denominations)
in the USA. ('Denomination' always makes me thing of the green gray faces of Washington, Lincoln, Jackson, Hamilton, et al)).

I also wish Qaddafi would make another rousing 3 hour speech, world leaders deserve it; he is even more entertaining than Mitch McConnell or Harry Reid on the senate floor. Of course Senator McConnell would be really entertaining if he took off his tie, something I imagine he does at home occasionally, and joined the protesters outside.
Cheers and Happy Holidays
