A Quagmire in Yemen, What About Iraq?………….

“quag•mire 1 : soft miry land that shakes or yields under the foot
                     2
: a difficult, precarious, or entrapping position : predicament

“Houthi rebels announced yesterday that they inflicted heavy casualties and equipment losses on Saudi forces that had attacked Yemen on three fronts. They also accused the Yemeni army of joining in the Saudi attack. A Yemeni source said that about 11 Saudi soldiers were killed and 20 captured. They said the attack was repulsed but that heavy aerial bombardment inside Yemen continued. The Houthis said that the Yemeni army supporting the Saudis is the worst form of treason as it is aiding an invader against Yemeni citizens………..” Al-Quds Al-arabi

Asharq Alawsat, reportedly the mouthpiece of one Prince, yesterday published a column criticizing Arab Shi'as who have refused to side with Saudi Arabia in her war in Yemen. The paper hinted at split loyalties, making the strange case that siding with Saudi Arabia is the patriotic thing to do because it is an Arab country, as if the Houthi rebels were aliens from Mars. By the same logic, almost all Arab governments of the Persian-American Gulf, including Saudi Arabia, as well as Jordan and Egypt were also treasonous because they supported and actively aided the war on Iraq in 2003- by abunch of Western armies.
