Qaddafi’s Nuclear Logic, Conventional Victories, Unconventional Defeats, Pax Arabiana………

Qaddafi and the nuclear right….… Libyan leader says to Sky News that if Israel has nuclear weapons, then the Arabs states have the right to have them. Qaddafi also said that if "Iran develops nuclear weapons, then we will all be against her”, adding that Iran has not said she seeks nuclear weapons……..”

By his “logic”: if Israel has nuclear weapons, as everyone agrees she has but never says it in public, why did he give up his program under pressure? Okay let’s try again: if Israel has nukes, then all Arabs have the right to have them. If Iran and Israel……..the brother colonel leader is hard to keep up with.

Years ago, the Israelis looked around them and saw hostile armies poised at their borders and decided to go nuclear. At that time there were some illusions that the Arabs were actual military players.
The Iranians looked across their borders one day, and saw American forces poised in every single country around them: north, south, east, and west. The idiotic idea of adding them to an “Axis of Evil” did not help. It may have helped the Bush-Cheney toothpaste brand within the United States, but it was foolish foreign policy. So, the Iranians decided to go “near-nuclear”.

Nobody in the Middle East really needs nuclear weapons, not even Israel. Israel can easily defeat all the regular armed forces of her neighbors with conventional weapons, as she has done repeatedly from 1948 through 1973. The Arab regimes have proven in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973 that they are as incompetent militarily as in everything else. It got so bad that the Egyptians decided to call the defeat of 1973 a victory and called it quits, a clever move.
The only time Israel “lost” a conflict was when she stormed across the Lebanese border as in 1982-2000 and 2006.

There is no more fight left in the Arab world, if there ever was any, not in any Arab country, not even in Syria. They all now depend on foreign allies for defense needs: almost all depend on the USA, with the exception of Syria, Hamas and Hezbullah who depend on Iran. In effect there is a Pax Arabiana, one forced by Arab weakness and cemented by foreign overseers.
Cheers
