Remember Dan Quayle? He was mocked, I though unfairly. He did no damage in the USA or to other countries. And when his term expired, he retired gracefully. What a graceful man even though I probably don’t agree with him on most things.
He, Quayle did not engineer a bloody destructive war in Iraq that added to the damage Saddam Hussein had done- using false evidence. He did not have cronies with their “contractor” corporations making money off the war. He, Quayle did not botch up Afghanistan from the beginning, allowing Bin Laden and his aides to escape Tora Bora. He was young enough to miss much of the Vietnam War and did not need to get all those draft deferments Cheney got.
He, and his boss, did not cause the worst recession in six decades, one we are not yet certain is going to really end anytime soon.
Best of all: he does not shoot friends point blank in the face.
