“The Egyptian Ministry of Family and Population had established a new line called ‘Reporting and Advice on Underage marriage’ which has a big response. Egypt has witnessed lately the spread of what is called ‘Summer Marriage” involving marrying young girls to elderly men during the summer tourist season. A new study has warned of underage marriage. Noting that 30% of such marriages occur during the summer months, most of the marriages are to “elderly Arab men”. The grooms are from wealthy Gulf states and they prefer brief temporary summer marriages that also provide a lot of money to the families of the Egyptian girls…….. A social researcher said that even though there is a law banning marriage of underage girls, that is not enough……….”
The phenomenon has always been there in past years, but it has grown fast to epidemic proportions in most recent years. It is not that older Persian Gulf men have suddenly become more randy. There is one probable explanation: petroleum prices have been higher in recent years (on average) than, say ten or fifteen years ago. Higher oil prices mean more money in the pockets of old Persian Gulf goats. At their age they can’t risk purchasing the services of young prostitutes because that is a ‘sin’ and they worry about the afterlife and its own promised perks. They think they are fooling Him.
There is a definite significant causality with crude oil prices that begs for proof (or confirmation) through a regression analysis. I may do that when I get my hands on some statistics.
Besides, apparently the old bastards prefer them to be very young, virgin, and helpless. This also makes a good case for the castration of pedophiles. The Egyptian government targeted the wrong pigs for slaughter last summer.
