One Year after Lehman (Part II), The Week that Shook the World but Changed Nothing, NFL Hearts and Minds.……..

"It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere."

“The Week that shook the world.CNBC program title.
I would add to that ”but changed nothing.....” and as if to prove me, they just announced they will have some perspectives from Jim Cramer, their in-house guru and clown.

CNBC Reporter Pisani: “Did the government make a mistake supporting the banks……
Investment Banker: “It’s okay, they didn’t do any real harm (he means to the banks)…..”

Judge rejects Merrill bonus settlement. Bank of America and the SEC are told that a proposed $33 million penalty over Merrill Lynch bonuses is 'neither fair, nor reasonable, nor adequate’………..

CEOs of Morgan Stanley and Citigroup will be on CNBC to discuss how much the financial sector has changed...... CNBC anchorwoman.
I think she means “how much the financial sector has NOT changed".CNBC anchors (and their one clown) are trying to out-Fox, Fox Business News. Almost impossible to be more royal than a monarch, or out-king a queen.
Speaking of the ‘same old, same old,’ would it be legal to send CEOs and CFOs of the financials to re-education camps? Vocal elements of the right wing are claiming that these camps are being considered by the administration. Perhaps all MBA programs should include a stint in these camps. If you must have them, then they should be used more efficiently.......no?
I just hope they don't burst out waving theirLittle Red Books......

NFL players promise brains to concussion research. BOSTON — Even though dozens of former NFL players have agreed to donate their brains after death to a Boston University medical school program that studies sports brain injuries, current players have been reluctant — until Monday……… The center's goal is to better understand the long-term effects of repeated concussions……
Good for the players. If any research will be done on hearts, then the CEOs of major financials should be prime targets, prime sources of donated hearts: just to see what makes them do what they do. To figure out how so few have done so much harm to so many over the years……I know, it sounds Churchillian, but I have used this before . I think a feeling I know the answer too
