Of Shorts, Burqas, Clunkers, and Middle East First Ladies

This question has been dominating the American public after seeing pictures of Michelle Obama in shorts descending from an Air Force One.....She was wearing a pair of shorts that did not hide much of her legs......”

Only on Alarabiya: I have not seen anything on this issue in the U.S media, to its credit, not that it matters…
I could see this being an issue if someone like Mamie Eisenhower, Eleanor Roosevelt, or even Pat Nixon was the wearer of the short shorts……Forget Dolly Madison even though she was supposed to be fetching.....

Which brought to my mind that “other” issue: the multiple first ladies of the various Middle East potentates. I am not sure how we sort them in cases if multiple domestic partnerships: First First Lady, Second First Lady, Third First lady, Fourth First Lady……That is the limit! Beyond that, the potentates will have to trade in one of the older ones, a clunker in Americanese, for a new model, sort of like a “cash for clunkers” deal. Let us call it “New Burqa for a Clunker”.
