Baghdad: How Do You Spell ‘Interference’

“Egyptian spokesman said that the Iranian nuclear issue and its regional impact and the regional security, will be discussed with president Obama, in a reference to Iranian interference in Iraq…..
For its part, the Iraqi government announced that discussion the situation in Iraq without Iraqis being present is interference in internal Iraqi affairs. The Iraqi deputy foreign minister told the Italian news Agency that the meeting in Damascus between an American military-security delegation and Syrian officials that discussed Iraq without Iraqi presence is also interference in internal affairs of his country……”
A US delegation in Damascus discusses Iraqi affairs without any Iraqi presence. Egypt’s president discusses Iraqi affairs in Washington without Iraqi presence.
Now Nuri al-Maliki needs to fly into Washington and discuss the issue of Egyptian democracy (or lack of it), and the advanced age of President Mubarak (81 years) with Mr. Obama. While at it he should also mention that there is no vice president for Egypt and that if anything happens to Mubarak there may be chaos.
Cheers
