A Salafi Trail into Gaza?
What’s in a name?

If Jund Ansar-allah are extremists, then what is Hamas? Chopped liver?
Sort of like just when everybody in the USA had decided that Hezbullah was the worst foe in Lebanon, out sprang the Salafi Fath al-Islam group in the northern refugee camps, mostly with Arab volunteers and money from moderate countries. And it bloodied the Lebanese army real good.
Now just when Americans (policy makers, not your average schmuck) begin to learn the nuances of these various groups, new ones spring out.
Still, who is funding this new group? And where do they come from? Do they dig their own tunnels from Egypt? And do they, and the money, cross the Red Sea before they get to Egypt?
This all sounds familiar, reminiscent of how Hamas itself was financed and encouraged in the days when Arafat’s secular PLO was considered the danger to Israelis, the West, and some Arabs.
