“It happens in Iran!
"That one sentence may be enough to summarize everything that has happened.
"Any Iranian who voted for either Ahmadinejad or Mousavi can claim that he voted, objected, protested, and demonstrated for or against. He can even say publicly that he was suppressed. He can say and do things, and he can read and watch and listen to things on the media in his country that no Arab citizen can anywhere in his country, save perhaps Lebanon to some extent.

"The advanced nuclear program evolved. Local industries happened that offset the foreign economic blockade…A local Auto industry happened….an advanced local arms industry happened….A local satellite was manufactured and launched; that happened too…Train cars are produced locally, as are LG cellular phones…
"Recently the first cloning of a calf in the Middle East also happened in Iran……And there is more and more that is happening in Iran…..
"Iran has surpassed us Arabs in everything, whether we like it or not…..Even in her methods of suppression she has been more democratic than the Arabs…..
"Actions and democracy are taking place in Persia, while we Arabs are happy with all the nonsense they spout in tour media…

Interesting piece published in an Arab media outlets. No need for the usual comments from me, since I mostly agree with her...
