Of Kosher Arab Arms Deals. A U.S. Senate Ban on Hybrid Man-Dog-Jackass-Brontosaurus

Prince Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense, Deputy Minister of Aviation, and Deputy Inspector General (this one always crack me up: reminds me of the Danny Kaye film) that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is always developing its weapons, becsue of its geographic and political position. ….

The Prince also declared that the al-Yamama project has been renamed the ‘Saudi British Program for Military Cooperation’..He said two Typhoon planes have already arrived, of the 72 contracted….

The new name beats the old one. It does not evoke memories of the GB 1 billion (US$ 2 billion) that was reportedly paid to a very famous potentate. It also does not evoke memories of Tony (Yo) Blair, who blocked the British Serious Fraud Office from continuing its investigation of the bribe (called commission in genteel company) to that same very famous potentate who used to be an ambassador to Washington.

U.S. Senator Sam Brownback today with Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) introduced the Human-Animal Hybrid Prohibition Act of 2009.

“Brownback said 'Creating human-animal hybrids, which permanently alter the genetic makeup of an organism, will challenge the very definition of what it means to be human and is a violation of human dignity and a grave injustice.....

The Human-Animal Hybrid Prohibition Act would ban the creation of human-animal hybrids. Human-animal hybrids are defined as those part-human, part-animal creatures, which are created in laboratories, and blur the line between species…..

This can definitely be listed under the wtf category. There can now be no such new-fangled creature as a Man-Dog-Lizard-Jackass, but apparently there is no shortage of jackasses in the US Senate. And there will never be a shortage of asses in the US Senate (if there was an amendment to that effect, it would be called the Jackass Protection Right).
