Israel-Palestine: On Suicides, Refugees, Depressing Lieberman, and Solomonic Mubarak

A Ministry of Health report shows that one third of suicides are among recent emigrants from the former Soviet Union and Ethiopia. Some experts say that Russian emigrants tend to be more depressed, and that this may explain their consistent voting for the extreme right wing party Israel Beituna led by former Russian emigrant Avigdor Lieberman. Others argue that Lieberman (now foreign minister) may actually be the cause of the suicides, for the more people see him on television, the more they feel that life is not worth it, that death is preferable.…”
I knew it. There is something about Lieberman (Avigdor not Joe).
“It is easy to get rid of the ‘right of return’ (to proper, pre=1967 Israel). Get rid of the (Palestinian) refugees…..President Mubarak has told the Israelis to allow the ‘right of return’ in a future agreement, saying that the refuges are unlikely to actually want to return…”
I always suspected that there was some hidden greatness in President Mubarak, something Solomonic, if I may borrow the phrase.
