So has Fidel Castro for fifty years…
So did Vlad the Impaler….. and Franco.....
In fact so have most Arab rulers as well as the mullahs.....
Come to think of it, so has Cher for over forty years, although I am not sure she brought on the stability of what…. And Wayne Newton for longer than that, Danke Schoen….
Actually, he has also been mainly a force of stagnation....something President Obama knows but of course won't say publicly.
But then so have been others like Brezhnev, Bouteflika (Algeria), et al...

While the Egyptian army has been busy slaughtering local swine by the thousands, with spotty results, the Swine Flu has managed to sneak into the country through the window. Those dead pigs of Egypt deserve an apology from the army, the ruling party and the big banana himself. Maybe they will name a street after them: "Rue des Couchons" has a certain ring to it.
